Meetings, Incetives, Conferences and Events (MICE), Section 41, Procurement Act

The MICE Unit specializes in planning, coordinating, and executing events that promote tourism, partnerships, and the organization’s brand.


Within the procurement process, MICE acts as a user department, initiating procurement for event-related goods and services such as venue hire, catering, AV equipment, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify event requirements and prepare procurement requests for goods and services.

  • Draft specifications/ToR for venues, catering, event branding, and logistics.

  • Coordinate with PMU to ensure timely procurement for upcoming events.

  • Evaluate proposals from event service providers.

  • Oversee delivery of contracted event services to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Manage vendor relationships for recurring or large-scale events.

  • Ensure cost-effectiveness while meeting event objectives.

  • Work with the marketing manager to promote events and secure media coverage.

  • Maintain an event suppliers database for future procurement planning.
